StoryBaker Studio ("StoryBaker," "we," "us") operates the storybakerstudio.com website and related services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information. Email address, display name, profile details, and authentication data when you create an account or accept an invite.
• Content you create. Projects, characters, scenes, notes, uploads, and other writing materials you store in StoryBaker.
• Usage and billing data. Subscription tier, Dōh credit usage, storage usage, and payment records processed through Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number — Stripe handles that directly.
• Technical data. Browser type, device information, IP address, and basic analytics to keep the service secure and reliable.

How we use information

• Provide, maintain, and improve StoryBaker Studio
• Process subscriptions, trials, and Dōh purchases
• Generate the AI-assisted writing features you request
• Send account, billing, and security emails
• Detect abuse, fraud, and technical issues

AI providers and your writing

When you use AI features, relevant prompts and the project context required to generate the output are sent to third-party AI providers (currently OpenAI and OpenRouter). These providers process your data under their own terms and, per their published policies at the time of writing, do not use API content to train their general models. We do not sell your personal information or your writing.

Service providers

We rely on a small set of trusted infrastructure and payment providers:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage
• Stripe — payments, subscriptions, and billing
• Vercel — hosting
• ElevenLabs — optional voice generation features

Data retention

We retain account and project data while your account is active. If you delete content or close your account, we delete or anonymize the associated data when reasonably practicable, except where retention is required for legal, billing, or security purposes.

Your choices

• Update profile information in your account settings
• Manage or cancel subscriptions through the Stripe customer portal linked from your account
• Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your account data

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), authenticated database access, and role-based access controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data responsibly.

Children

StoryBaker Studio is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date.
