Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of StoryBaker Studio ("StoryBaker," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

The service

StoryBaker Studio is a writing and story-development platform with AI-assisted features. Features, pricing, and availability may change as the product evolves, especially during beta and early access periods.

Accounts and access

• You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
• Access may be invite-only or limited during closed beta. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for the service or other users.

Your content

You retain ownership of the writing and materials you create in StoryBaker. You grant us a limited license to host, process, back up, and display your content solely as needed to operate the service — including sending relevant portions to AI providers when you request AI features.

You represent that you have the rights needed for the content you upload or generate, and that your use of StoryBaker does not infringe anyone else's rights.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the platform
• Share access credentials or resell the service without permission
• Upload malware or content that violates applicable law

Subscriptions, trials, and Dōh

• Paid plans, free trials, and Dōh credit packs are billed through Stripe according to the prices shown at checkout.
• Free trials convert to paid subscriptions at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before then. You can cancel at any time during the trial through the Stripe customer portal.
• You can manage billing, payment methods, and cancellations through the Stripe customer portal linked from your account.
• Dōh credits are a consumable in-app balance used for AI features. Except where required by law, Dōh purchases are non-refundable once credited.
• Promotional access (such as conference invite codes) may include time-limited tier access and bonus Dōh. Promotional terms are shown at redemption.

AI-generated output

AI features may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate content. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and deciding how to use any generated output. StoryBaker does not guarantee that AI output is original, accurate, or suitable for publication.

Beta and early access

During beta or early access, features may change, break, or be removed. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis during these periods. Separate beta agreements shown during onboarding may also apply.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StoryBaker is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StoryBaker and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the service.

Termination

You may stop using StoryBaker at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of StoryBaker after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
